Flexible Learning, Strong Foundations
Our 5RO program for 7-12 learners features:

Curriculum aligned to MN standards.

MN licensed teachers.

Learners are expected to log in to each class with workday flexibility. Attendance is based on log in and work completion.

Teachers may schedule synchronous 1:1, or small group sessions to advance the learning progression.
5RiversOnline curriculum is designed for students to work at their own pace, granting them flexibility and consistency around their schedule. 5RO students are able to enroll either part-time or full-time and can complete PESO courses while in high school. Enrollment is FREE for Minnesota residents.
7-12 LEARNERS
5RO provides high school students with an online education that opens doors for their future.
Academics
5RiversOnline’s 7-12 students work mostly asynchronously, giving students the flexibility to work at their own pace with teacher support. They use Clever to seamlessly access their digital learning tools, streamlining their educational experience with a single, secure login.

Counseling
5RiversOnline students have access to 5RO counseling services, ensuring they receive the support they need for academic, social, and emotional well-being.
SPED Services
Special education services are tailored to meet students' unique needs in a virtual setting. This may include specialized instruction, related services (such as speech or occupational therapy), and accommodations to support learning. Services are delivered through a synchronous, collaborative approach involving educators and families to ensure each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals are met in an online environment.
MSHSL Rules and Regulations
We encourage our 5RiversOnline learners to stay connected with their resident community and school district. 5RiversOnline learners may participate in extracurricular activities and/or athletics in their resident district.
