Student Education Options
  • Alternative Education: Although traditional schools work well for many students, sometimes students need an alternative. GCED offers alternative options for students in grades 6-12, as well as for students 18-21 years of age who have not completed high school. In addition, GCED works with its member districts to offer preventive and intervention programming in the form of Targeted Services for students in K-8. Also, GCED has partnered with its member school districts to offer online learning options for students in K-12. To talk about alternative options of education, please contact your student's building principal.
  • Early Childhood Opportunities: A variety of early childhood education programs are available for children from birth to age five.
  • English Learners Program:  The mission of the Goodhue County Education District EL program is to: 1. support student proficiency to the point where English Learner services are no longer needed; 2. while serving as a link among the school, students, and parents; 3. and promote general academic success.
